What is Radegast?

With it’s full support for all communication within a virtual world (chat, instant messaging, group messaging, friends conference) It is ideal for situations where a full 3D client is unnecessary; For example, an office environment, older hardware, or similar. It has become a vital tool for those with disabilities. The program allows those who are blind to access Second Life and other virtual worlds using a screen reader.

Radegast-ng is written using LibreMetaverse, and it runs on any platform that supports .NET/mono.

What is LibreMetaverse?

LibreMetaverse is a fork of libOpenMetaverse which in turn was a fork of libSecondLife, a library for developing Second Life-compatible virtual world clients.

LibreMetaverse returns development of the library’s focus to up-to-date Second Life and OpenSim compatibility with an eye to performance, multi-threading, and memory management.
